Die Geschichte von Amene Nuri

The story of Amene Nuri

I'm from Afghanistan and have four children. I've been working at KoKoTé for four years. I already gained sewing experience in Iran, and in 2012, I worked as a seamstress in Turkey. In 2015, I finally came to Switzerland, a big step for me and my family. I started at KoKoTé with an internship as a textile processor, and I'm now doing my apprenticeship here.

KoKoTé is like a family to me. The pleasant working atmosphere and the support we receive mean a lot to me. The German course offered is particularly helpful, as it has helped me integrate. My work mainly consists of cutting and sewing pieces of fabric, a task I really enjoy.

The company has given us refugees a valuable opportunity to demonstrate our skills and contribute to society. I am very grateful for that. My biggest dream is to successfully complete my training and for everyone to stay healthy. I also hope that our company continues to grow and receives many orders so that others can have the same opportunity as me.
